Dr. Lee Ann Barrett
Dr. Lee Ann Barrett has been practicing optometry in Columbia since 1986. After earning a BA in Biology from Central Methodist College, she completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry. Dr. Barrett is a board certified optometrist who happily sees patients of all ages, but specializes and prefers geriatrics due to her areas of interest including ocular disease, surgical co-management and contact lenses.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Barrett serves as the Executive Director of the Missouri Optometric Association. In her spare time she can be found cheering for Mizzou football and traveling; especially when there is a chance to scuba dive or snorkel. Dr. Barrett also serves on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Special Olympics.
Dr. Joseph D. Rich
Dr. Joseph D. Rich moved to Columbia shortly after completing his Doctorate at Sothern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Growing up and completing his undergraduate work in Biology, Chemistry, and Business Management at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO, Dr. Rich considers himself a full-fledged Mizzou fan and actively enjoys going to as many games as possible.
Dr. Rich enjoys patients of all ages, but specializes with pediatrics and contact lenses having extended training not only in the treatment and prevention of lazy eye, but in vision rehabilitation, therapy, and sports vision enhancement.
Dr. Rich knows firsthand about the difficulties accompanying visual strain and excessive ocular allergies, and because of that he really takes pride in his ability to treat and manage those conditions.
Dr. Rich is actively involved in the community with Rotary and other philanthropic organizations and has held many committee chair positions as well.
